Video: Pioneer Shows How HTC Connect Wirelessly Transmits Video

Two months ago at CE Week, Pioneer showed how HTC Connect enables audio from an HTC phone to play wirelessly through a Pioneer loudspeaker. At CEDIA Expo, Pioneer began demonstrating how HTC Connect can be used to wirelessly send video.

With an HTC 1X smartphone and a prototype blu-ray player, Pioneer's Chris Walker demonstrates how HTC Connect can be used to play video stored on a smartphone, wirelessly on a television.

First Walker shows how easy it will be to open the HTC Connect app and view photos on a TV, and then he switches to video almost instantly. Importantly, the phone can exit the app and be used for calls and other purposes, and the movie will still continue to play on the TV.

The video transmitting technology is not available yet, but Pioneer assures us it will be announced in certain products "soon."
