PPC Weather Protection System
Connector maker PPC’s Weather Protection System (WPS) is made to work exclusively with its AllTight series of compression connectors for 50-ohm corrugated and smooth wall feeders and jumpers. The system, of a rubber silicone designed to withstand exposure to sales and other abrasive particles, protects the connectors’ base metals and equipment ports from pollutants, while enabling quick installation and easy access for maintenance calls.
RTI U2 Controller
RTI’s U2 Weather-Resistant Universal System Controller ($499) features eight programmable soft buttons and a high-contrast LCD screen that can display custom buttons, graphics and text in sunlight. It also offers 33 programmable keypad buttons for easy access to frequently used applications. Programming is a simple matter, with RTI’s Integration Designer software.
Niles GeoRealistic Rock Speakers
Niles Rock Speaker cabinet design is crafted to look like a real rock and incorporates the use of integrated textured aluminum grilles. Featuring Niles proprietary injection molded TCC 6” woofer and two 1” Tetron tweeters, these rock speakers can be operated in three modes: monaural, traditional two-speaker stereo or single speaker stereo input — “Si” —where both left and right channels play simultaneously through the dual voice coil woofer and both tweeters to provide a stereo image. Models utilize Niles’ unique Cone Forward design, which position the drive unit as close to the grille as possible, ensuring a transparent, open and dynamic sound with precise stereo imaging without the hollow colorations found in traditional rock speaker designs.
Paradigm AMS X-treme Moisture Series
Paradigm’s new marine models, the latest additions to AMS Series v.3 (the AMS-150RX shown), are designed for full exposure to the elements in any environment where excessive moisture is a problem. Protective Conformal Coating on Crossovers acts as an insulation barrier between the military-spec circuit board and the whims of Mother Nature. Features include Superior High-Power Mineral-Filled Polypropylene Cones (found on all AMS v.3 speakers) paired with treated rubber surrounds; Ultra-Violet/Corrosion-Resistant GRIP Chassis and Mounting Brackets; Glass-reinforced, injection-molded polymer chassis; Ultra-Rigid chassis, which holds things steady on the music front, preventing unwanted resonances and vibrations from throwing the music off course; Corrosion-Resistant Stainless Steel grilles and hardware.
Just like their regular AMS v.3 high-performance counterparts, “X” models include Superior High-Power S-PAL Satin-Anodized Pure-Aluminum Domes; High-Power Ferrite/Neodymium Magnets and Advanced Motor Structures; and Paradigm’s Posi-Grip Binding Posts prevent connections from becoming loose as a result of vibrations and movement.

Sealed enclosures and salt-tested, marine grade hardware ensures weather-resistant performance year in and out. Polypropylene driver cones with rubber surrounds and one-inch Teteron dome tweeters deliver superior full-range audio through a wide range of temperatures and humidity conditions. All four models feature a one-inch tweeter made of Teteron, an advanced synthetic material that is moisture-proof, offers exceptionally wide dispersion characteristics, and eliminates sonic artifacts commonly associated with metal and silk dome tweeters.
