The show in Amsterdam is winding down, but there is still so much to see and do. Look for our full report in the March issue of CustomRetailer magazine and online.

Spending time with Pakedge today, they have introduced attendees to their new assortment of wireless and wired networking products, including: The W6 family of high-powered wireless access points offering improved data throughput, reliability and stability along with greater configuration options, as well as the W5N2 Wireless Access Point with Dual-Band Radio. It incorporates the company’s exclusive “True Roaming” Residential Virtual Cell Technology to enable multiple wireless access points in a large network to function as a single “virtual” wireless access point (WAP), and the P20E 20-Port Power Distribution Unit, that is designed to provide a high degree of AC power protection and comprehensive on/off power startup and shutdown capabilities.

There are a couple of things that Draper Screens are really stressing this year. They showed off some of their new projection screen surfaces that the company introduced in 2012, and they also introduced new video conferencing accessories—including credenza and ceiling camera lifts and backgrounds for video conferencing.

Draper’s reimagining of the company’s projection screen surfaces means not only new viewing surface options for Draper projection screens, but also improvements and refined naming for the company’s existing surfaces.

“At the beginning of this process of reimagining the concept of what makes a good projection screen, I was asked to do nothing less than explore the frontiers of projection surfaces,” according to Fabric Coordinator Brian Hocker, who was charged with leading Draper’s efforts. The introduction includes several new products, including Ecomatt XT700E, the first projection surface to be Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver by McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry (MBDC), and a reworking of the company’s surface names to include key performance measurements in the name of each surface.

Also important for Draper at this show are the new video conferencing accessories for effective video conferencing in today’s multi-use conference rooms and other venues. The company has a new Video Conferencing Camera Lift-Ceiling that allows the placement of a video conferencing camera directly behind a motorized projection screen; the camera raises and lowers with the screen. There is also a Video Conferencing Camera Lift–Credenza that hides your camera in virtually any conference room furnishing, ready to be raised at any time by simple remote operation.
