Panamax Refreshes MR Line, Expands BlueBOLT Home Offerings at CEDIA Expo
September 18, 2012 By Jack CotterPanamax brought a refresh of the PM line of power management solutions, now called the MR Family while dropping the price on some units. These can sit on a shelf or rack, while providing auto-resetting voltage protection, Protect or Disconnect circuitry, and features such as dimmable lighting. The MR4000 is brand new and available now for $199. The MR4300 is an updated model with the lowered price of $299, and will ship along with the top-of-the-line MR5100 in October.
New developments with BlueBOLT cloud-based energy monitoring and management include the expansion of BlueBOLT into entry-level products, with the addition of two new home products, the MD2-ZB Smart Plug and BB-ZB1 Gateway.
The Smart Plug is a compact solution that plugs into a standard 120V or 15A outlet, and is ZigBee enabled for home control. This can be combined with the BlueBOLT Gateway, to allow integrators to access energy data and control devices in the two AC outlets remotely, helping both the customer and the integrator to save money.
The BlueBOLT Gateway can support up to 30 boxes. Both the MD2-ZB and the BB-ZB1 will cost $99 and should be available in November.
