The Consumer Electronics Association this week announced that it has partnered with AT&T, Comcast, Verizon and others to complete the first IPv6 PlugFest. The purpose was to team electronics companies, industry groups and carriers to test devices with networks.
A consortium of industry groups, the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association's (CEDIA) R10 Residential Systems committee and InfoComm International have published a new standard: ANSI Standard J-STD-710 Audio, Video and Control Architectural Drawing Symbols.

There is seemingly no debate – 4K Ultra-High Definition TV (UHD) is on the rise and primed to disrupt the digital video world. At least a third of consumers expect to buy a new UHD television within the next three years, according to CEA market research. Sales of UHD TVs are expected to hit four million in 2015, a 208 percent increase over 2014.
