ISE2010 Global Show Report
Once again, CustomRetailer requested that some of our industry's most famous manufacturers report back to us their findings from the ISE (Integrated Systems Europe) event. Held in early February, ISE was located at the RAI in Amsterdam. Despite chilly temperatures, including daily snow and ice, over 28,000 integrators attended.
ISE attracts residential ESCs and commercial integrators from all over Europe as well as parts of Asia and the Middle East. The show is a wholly owned event between CEDIA and InfoCOMM International. A large area of the show is dedicated to the Residential Solutions Area, where 50-plus manufacturers had exhibits. At their headquarters booth, CEDIA hosted daily seminars for attendees. Let's hear from our industry partners:
Manager of Consumer Sales
Highlights of the show were an increasing number of IP-addressable products, high-resolution display devices and a number of designer-friendly speaker products. Digital signage continues to be a strong draw for the commercial side of the event. Design and ergonomics is very important to the European customer, so products need to look and perform at a top level.
While the economy was certainly a topic of discussion, many of the integrators I spoke with had a number of projects in the queue and were actively searching for solution-oriented products.

Da-Lite Screen Company
At this year's ISE, Da-Lite Screen Company and Joe Kane Productions made their European debut of the HD Progressive screens. Joe Kane was on hand to conduct the demonstration of HD Progressive 0.9 in the Procolor booth. Approximately 100 integrators from all over Europe stopped by to meet with us.
We found it to be a positive, invigorating show and expect our business in Europe to grow exponentially in the coming years. Especially as we continue to link the Da-Lite brand with some of the most well-respected names in the industry. Da-Lite is the parent company of Procolor (France) and Projecta (Netherlands).
