Digital Projection Talks 2010 Product Plans

Leading up to CEDIA Expo this fall, Digital Projection is planning to roll out several high-value home cinema projectors in both single and three-chip configurations. Michael Bridwell, Digital Projection’s marketing communications manager, outlined the planned introductions during a demonstration of the company’s new commercial 3D projector at Sapphire Marketing’s First Annual NYC Roadshow last week.

The new residential projectors will bow in more than one line, and will house high-performance technologies in more affordable chassis configurations, he said.

Due out in both bright and high-contrast versions is the new HIGHlite three-chip 1080p DLP projector, slated to carry a list price of under $30,000. The company also plans to release in early June a high-contrast version of its M-Vision projector.

At the CEDIA Expo itself, he said, two new 3D product categories at under-$30,000 and under-$20,000 price-points will debut, joining the company’s flagship TITAN 3D projector in the market shortly after the Atlanta show.

“With these introductions, we’re following up on our market leadership as a 3D projector solution provider,” said George Walter, Digital Projection’s vice president of sales for the company’s Home Cinema Div., about the intros.
